A new restaurant with a host of Asian flavors has opened in a popular shopping area in northeast Columbia.

Yu Noodles, which specializes in Chinese dishes, recently opened at 461-3 Town Center Place in the Village at Sandhill retail district. It’s located beside a GameStop video game store and a couple doors down from a Poke Bros. restaurant. A Moe’s and a Five Guys are directly across the street, and a 16-screen Regal movie theater is just to the north.

“At Yu Noodles, we are passionate about bringing you the finest Asian culinary experiences,” the Yu Noodles website says. “Our commitment t authenticity and simplicity ensures that every dish is a true delight to your palate. Step into our world of flavors, and let us take you on a gastronomic adventure.”

The Yu Noodles menu features, as you might expect, a host of noodle dishes, including Sichuan beef noodle soup, hot and sour noodles with minced pork, and Yibin spicy dry noodles with minced pork, among others. The restaurant also carries a selection of dumplings, including chicken and pork soup dumplings, as well as appetizers like marinade duck, edamame and seaweed salad.

The Village at Sandhill continues to be a shopping hub in the northeast Columbia, with large retailers such as Belk, Academy Sports + Outdoors, and Rooms To Go mixing with locally owned businesses and smaller chains, such as the KPot Korean BBQ restaurant that opened there in February.

The retail development is in a high-traffic location, as 30,000 cars per day pass down nearby Clemson Road, per state Department of Transportation data.
