A new restaurant for smoothies, acai bowls, wraps, quesadillas and more opened its doors in a high-traffic Lexington area.

Hava Smoothie Cafe recently debuted at 914 N. Lake Drive. That’s in the popular Lexington Town Centre shopping complex at the corner of N. Lake Drive and Sunset Boulevard. The new smoothie cafe is located in a space between a Moe’s Southwest Grill and a Jimmy John’s sandwich shop. A Cold Stone Creamery is two doors down.

The shopping center is at the nexus of two of Lexington’s busiest commercial roads. About 20,000 cars per day travel down that section of N. Lake Drive, per state Department of Transportation stats, while nearly 35,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of Sunset Boulevard.

The menu at Hava includes a host of specialty and fruit smoothies. That includes the Bahama Breeze, which comes with strawberry, pineapple, white chocolate and coconut. During a weekend pop-in this reporter tried the Tropic Lime Twist smoothie, which includes strawberry, lime, pineapple and orange juice.

The new shop also offers a variety of acai bowls, as well as a food menu that includes quesadillas, flatbread sandwiches, avocado toast and kids meal offerings such as flatbread pizzas. Hava also has salads on the menu, including a southwest chicken salad that comes with grilled chicken, roasted corn, tomato, cheese, tortilla strips and chipotle ranch dressing.

Hava has arrived in what has long been a bustling shopping center. Aside from the aforementioned restaurants, the Lexington Town Centre also features a Food Lion, a Books-A-Million, a Hibbett Sports, a Big Air trampoline park and a Goldfish Swim School, among other offerings.
