SC man accused of hitting cars at Walmart had drugs, gun and 5-year-old with him
A South Carolina man who collided with a number of cars in a Walmart parking lot, while a 5-year-old child was in his vehicle, has been arrested on multiple charges.
In addition to the young child, the Cowpens man also had guns and drugs in his possession at the time of the incident, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
Jimmy Williams, 34, of Cowpens, was charged with multiple offenses by the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, including:
- Child endangerment
- DUI first offense
- Expired vehicle tag
- Possession of meth
- Possession of controlled substances
- Possession of a firearm or ammo by a violent felon
- Unlawful carrying of pistol
Williams was arrested around 8:30 p.m. Sunday according to the sheriff’s office. He’s accused of hitting several parked, empty cars with his vehicle in the parking lot of the Walmart on Highway 9, foxcarolina.com reported.
Williams was taken to the Spartanburg County Detention Center, where he is being held on $11,456 bonds for each charge, according to the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office.
