Gambler bets $2.50 on slot machine — and wins big jackpot at Connecticut casino

A lucky gambler walked away from a Connecticut casino with a big jackpot prize.

The man sat at a “Wheel of Fortune” Triple Double Diamond slot machine Oct. 19 at Mohegan Sun Casino of the Sky, the casino said in a news release.

He bet $2.50, hit spin and watched as the symbols flashed across the screen until a jackpot message appeared.

Now, the Rhode Island man is $202,338.91 richer.

But that wasn’t the only big win at the casino that day.

Another gambler from New Jersey sat at an Ultimate X Triple Double Bonus Poker slot machine, bet $150 and won the $241,200 jackpot.

Mohegan Sun Casino of the Sky is in Uncasville, about a 45-mile drive southeast from Hartford.
