Sheriff’s deputies in western Michigan have killed an aggressive bull with 33 shots after the animal killed a 71-year-old farmer.

The Kent County sheriff’s department says the owner of the bull was trying to corral him before the attack Wednesday in Lowell Township, southeast of Grand Rapids. He died from his injuries.

The man’s name wasn’t immediately released.

The sheriff’s department says the bull broke through an area of the farm that had an electric fence.
