Hurricane Ian is expected to head inland toward Columbia after making landfall on the South Carolina coast Friday afternoon.

The National Hurricane Center has classified Ian as a Category 1 storm, and it is expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds with the possibility of flooding and tornadoes as it makes its way into the Midlands.

You can check in on flooding and live weather updates from around the Columbia area by watching these webcams, from Lake Murray to the Congaree River and at one of Columbia’s most notoriously flood-prone spots, Rocky Branch at the intersection of Main and Whaley streets downtown.
