Voting and global warming

The severe damage from the most recent hurricane has been called damage of biblical proportion.

Millions of Americans are still without power days later.

Is God angry with us for the global warming we cause?

Vote for those who want to stop global warming.

Prayers for Helene victims

We take so many things for granted when we have power like being able to purchase a tank of gas, purchasing life-sustaining medicines from the pharmacy, buying food from the grocery store or even keeping perishable food cold.

People who require a CPAP machine or oxygen… things that require electricity.

Once power is restored, I’m praying that people will be able to afford to replenish their refrigerators to buy food to sustain their lives.

Security systems that require electricity have left many people feeling vulnerable.

There are people who have sustained damage to their homes, their vehicles, their property and injuries to themselves.

And for those who have lost their lives, my heart goes out to their families.

Thank God for sustaining the lives that have been spared.

Praying for the restoration of power soon and the restoration of lives as the days continue to wane.

And for those with loved ones who have been sustained throughout this catastrophic event, hug them a little tighter, hold them a little closer and never forsake a day of telling and showing them how very much you love them.

Remove extremists

In response to Blaine Lotz editorial Sunday 9/29, here are my suggestions to moderate Republican voters in the coming election:

1) Reject Trump and his MAGA candidates;

2) Vote for Harris, an independent or don’t vote for any presidential candidate;

3) Vote for the most moderate Republican congressional candidates who will work across the aisle for the common good.

By doing so, even if we elect a Democratic president, a Republican Congress will counter extreme leftist measures, but hopefully will stop the stale-mating we have now.

We must take the Republican Party away from extremists and restore it to its respectable foundation.

Voting’s consequences

Voting matters. Partisan politics resulted in the election of a state superintendent of education championing far right-MAGA ideologies.

As the impact is known, buyers remorse results in criticism from the voters who blindly vote Republican because they can’t stomach voting for a Democrat, or as they say liberals.

The end result is the direction of tax funds for private education and the teaching of misinformation to our children. Voting matters.
