The Steelers Just Sent A Public Note To Every NFL Team About Aaron Rodgers

The Pittsburgh Steelers appear to have locked things in with Aaron Rodgers for the 2026 season.

While Rodgers has yet to announce his plans for 2026, the Steelers have made it clear - if he's going to play next season, it'll be in Pittsburgh.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that the Steelers "placed the rare right-of-first-refusal tender on Aaron Rodgers, meaning that he can accept a 10 percent raise off last year's salary, which would pay him about $15 million this season, and the Steeelrs also now will have the right to match any offer sheet he would sign with another team. As another condition of the tender, Rodgers would only be able to sign with the Steelers once training camp begins."

Every NFL team received a note regarding Rodgers' status from the Steelers on Tuesday morning.

The Steelers remain confident that Rodgers will be playing for them in 2026. He's coming off his first season with the franchise.

Mike Tomlin believes Rodgers will be back, too

Tomlin predicts that Rodgers will return in 2026.

"Man, if you've got a gun to my head, I'd say it's AR, Aaron," Tomlin said on NBC. "I just think, being around him for the 12 months I'm around him, he's got a love affair with the game of football. And not only the game, but the process.."

"I think he has an addiction to that. And there's only one way to feed it. And certainly, he is still capable and in really good shape. I think at the end of the day, he'll play football."
