Lexington man killed when motorcycle crashes into SUV
A Lexington man was killed Saturday when his motorcycle hit an SUV near Interstate 20.
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. on U.S. 378 near Cromer Road, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher.
A motorcycle driven by 31-year-old Timothy Browning, of Lexington, was traveling toward West Columbia on U.S. 378 when an SUV turned left in front of Browning, Fisher said. Browning’s motorcycle crashed into the side of the SUV.
Browning, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries, Fisher said.
There was no word Sunday morning on charges. The crash remains under investigation by the S.C. Highway Patrol.
