Two arrested for human trafficking of 13- and 15-year-old

Two people were arrested by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department in connection to human trafficking charges involving a 15- and 13-year-old.

Quincy Bright, 29, was charged with two counts of trafficking in persons and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and Brittany Gray-Bright, 21, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, said Sgt. Brittany Scott of the Richland County Sheriff’s Office of Public Information.

Bright and Gray-Bright were arrested at a residence at 104 Payton Place, near Fairfield Rd. in Lincolnshire, on Jan. 27, according to Sgt. Scott, who said that deputies were notified of a sexual assault at the residence involving a 15-year-old that occurred Jan. 23.

Sgt. Scott said the 15-year-old provided information about sex trafficking to members of the Sexual Assault Nurse Program at an area hospital, including that the 15-year-old was forced to perform sexual acts. After searching the residence, Sgt. Scott said deputies found a 13-year-old who was also found to be victimized in sex trafficking, and has been taken into protective custody.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott asked anyone with information about human trafficking to call 803-576-3115.
