Witches perform impotence hex on Stanford man convicted of sexual assault

Many have expressed anger and frustration about the light sentencing of Brock Turner, a former Stanford swimmer convicted of sexually assaulting a 23-year-old woman.

Melanie Hexen, of Iowa, decided she would use her special background to do something about it, and she created a Facebook group to perform a hex on Turner, according to U.S. News.

Turner was found thrusting his body against an unconscious woman behind a dumpster on Stanford’s campus in January 2015. He was convicted of three counts of sexual assault in March and sentenced to six months in county jail last week.

The judge said he feared a harsher sentence would have a “severe impact” on Turner, drawing a huge backlash from many who said the sentence was too lenient.

Hexen posted a virtual hexing event to Facebook on Thursday and invited 12 members of her coven. Soon the event had more than 1,000 people attending.

“I think it really struck a chord with a lot of women as a way to feel like they had some power in this situation,” Hexen told U.S. News. “That there was something they could do, some way they could come together and focus their rage and their need for justice that wasn’t being met.”

A now-deleted Facebook post gave directions on how to perform the hex and what to say:

“Brock Allen Turner we hex you. You will be impotent. You will know constant pain of pine needles in your guts. Food will bring you no sustenance. In water, your lungs will fail you. Sleep will only bring nightmares. Shame will be your mantle. You will meet justice.”

Hexen said she had “no doubt” the curse would be successful because she is “a really experienced, powerful witch.”
