Gov. Henry McMaster to share his vision for SC. Here’s when to tune in

S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster will give his State of the State address Wednesday.

It will be a first for the Richland Republican who took office in January, when then-Gov. Nikki Haley resigned to become the Trump Administration’s U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

Governors use the State of the State to reflect on the previous year and share their plans for South Carolina’s future.

McMaster will deliver the speech at 7 p.m. before the S.C. General Assembly and guests.

State Rep. James Smith, the Richland Democrat who is running for his party’s nomination for governor, will deliver the Democratic response.

The speeches will air on television and online at S.C. ETV at 7 p.m. and again at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
