Announcing ... Music Month in Columbia

June in Columbia is so packed with music that Mayor Steve Benjamin declared it Music Month in the city.

At a city council meeting Tuesday, councilman Sam Davis read a proclamation from Benjamin touting the “many creative expressions of culture and community that make the City of Columbia a more livable city.”

June music events include the Southeastern Piano Festival, the Southern Guitar Festival and Competition, Make Music Day and many other concerts, street performances and shows.
