Columbia native, former ‘America’s Next Top Model’ contestant to host fashion show Thursday

Columbia native and former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Bianca Chardei will present a fashion show Thursday featuring participants from her summer camp, Camp Love Yourself.

The event, at 6:30 p.m. at Second Nazareth Baptist Church, 2336 Elmwood Ave. in the Bowman Auditorium.

Camp participants will take to the runway. Entertainment will include local artists Regina Skeeters, Kentaj, Righteous Pearls and Tiffany James.

Chardei was on the 13th season of “America’s Next Top Model.” She also has been involved in a number of other projects, among them TV commercials and programs, freelance fashion writing, modeling and more. She is currently one of the faces of Maggy London, a women’s ready to wear line carried in Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Belk and others.

In 2008, Chardei started Love Yourself, an organization geared to young women ages 11-25 to increase self-esteem.
