Anthony Bourdain eats his way through Charleston with Bill Murray in new ‘Parts Unknown’ season
Charleston’s food scene will be highlighted in an episode of “Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown” in November. The show released a teaser of the episode over the weekend.
In the teaser, Bourdain shares oyster pie and shrimp and grits at Sean Brock’s restaurant, Husk, with actor and Charleston resident Bill Murray.
“The standard of food here is so high that when I go around any place, I just go 'eh,' ” Murray says in the video.
Season six of the CNN original series premiered Sept. 27 with a trip to Cuba. The eight-episode season also features trips to Marseille, Okinawa, Ethiopia, California’s Bay Area, Borneo, Istanbul and Charleston. The Charleston episode will air Nov. 15 as the season finale, according to CNN. The episode will also be screened during the Charleston Food Film Festival on Nov. 11.
If the teaser is any indication, Bourdain is a big fan of the Holy City. In the video, he describes Charleston as “a place with almost too many beautiful buildings, almost too many incredibly talented chefs and almost too much really, really good food.”
"Parts Unknown" airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on CNN.
Stick around all season. It's gonna be a good one. Just ask @hseanbrock and Bill Murray. #PartsUnknown http://t.co/8w11cnr8Cu
