WIS morning anchor leaving for position in Florida

A morning anchor for WIS News is leaving Columbia for the Sunshine State.

The Orlando Sentinel reported WFTV-Channel 9 in Orlando, Fla., hired Len Kiese as its new weekend anchor. The report stated he will start anchoring June 25.

Kiese, who anchors weekday mornings alongside Mary King, joined WIS in March of 2012.

Kiese also posted on his Facebook account about his transition, saying his last day will be Friday.

This is not Kiese’s first time working in Florida, as he previously worked two years in Jacksonville, according to his biography on WIS’s website.

Kiese was born and raised in Baltimore, Md., and graduated from Towson University.
