Run, pedal, hike or drive to REI, now open on Bull Street. The outdoor adventure store carries all the supplies and gear you need to get on your feet and out into the world. South Carolina summers can be brutal, so if you didn’t leave your air conditioning all of July and August, now is the time to buy the equipment for a fall camping trip or winter excursion. Order pickup is available, as well as in-store shopping.

But if your sense of adventure exists a little closer to home, get your game on at Transmission Arcade and Bar. Schedule your free, two-hour arcade adventure at www.transmissionarcade.com. Whether you’re more of a novice gamer or a pinball master, Transmission has games that will challenge and delight both the inexperienced and most seasoned virtual adventurers. Take your taste buds out for an adventure at Kairos Mediterranean, one of South Carolina’s newest international eateries. Make a bowl by choosing a base, protein, spread, and your favorite toppings from a menu of fresh ingredients and savory meats. Or, restore your body from your morning’s journeys with a Recovery Bowl, chicken and meatballs with brown rice, lentils, tzatziki, hummus, red pepper feta, grilled red peppers, chickpea salad and feta cheese.
