Grunge-era stars Smashing Pumpkins announce concert in Columbia
One of the biggest rock bands of the 1990s is coming to Columbia for a concert.
Smashing Pumpkins will perform at the Township Auditorium as part of the group’s “Rock Invasion 2” spring tour, concert promoters said on Twitter.
The May 6 show is sure to include several of the biggest hit songs of the grunge era of music. Some of those songs include “Today,” “1979,” “Disarm,” and “Tonight, Tonight.”
Tickets will go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. They will be available online at Ticketmaster.
Ticket prices range from $45 to $129.50, according to the Township Auditorium website.
“Prepare for an all-out sonic assault,” promoters tweeted.
The concert at the Township is sandwiched in between shows in North Charleston (May 5) and Greensboro, North Carolina (May 8).
