Music legend includes Columbia as a stop on upcoming 13-date tour
Music legend Stevie Nicks is coming to Columbia this year on a solo tour, promoters said Monday on social media.
The two-time Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee’s Aug. 27 concert at Colonial Life Arena is one of only 13 scheduled stops on her summer tour, according to the iconic singer’s website. It is the only performance scheduled for South Carolina, and one of the few that will take place in the Southeast.
Tickets for the Columbia show will go on sale to the public on Friday at 10 a.m., but a multiple presale events will begin Thursday at ticketmaster.com.
Information about ticket prices was not available.
Nicks is known for her prolific solo career, as well as her time as a singer for Fleetwood Mac. Both have earned her enshrinement in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
She’s been nominated for 15 Grammy Awards, and won two as a member of Fleetwood Mac.
Nicks has sold more than 140 million albums as both a solo artist, and as a member of Fleetwood Mac.
Among the hits she’s best known for as a solo artist are “Edge Of Seventeen,” “Stand Back,” and her collaboration with Tom Petty “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around,” while she’s also known for Fleetwood Mac songs “Gold Dust Woman,” “Dreams,” “The Chain,” “Rhiannon,” “Landslide,” and “Gypsy,” among others.
She’s recently performed at Colonial Life Arena on both solo tours and as as part of reunion performances with Fleetwood Mac.
