Timothee Chalamet Says Knicks' NBA Finals Run Has Caused Him ‘Wear and Tear'

Ask a fan who has seen their team make a deep playoff run in any sport and they'll tell you that the stress is real. Ask Timothée Chalamet and he'll tell you it takes a physical toll as well.

The Dune actor and New York Knicks superfan has been following the Eastern Conference champions throughout their run to the 2026 NBA Finals, and he shared the effect it has had on his body.

Chalamet, 30, shared a pair of photos via his Instagram Story on Thursday, June 4, showing a pair of ice packs on his knees. In the second slide, he is sitting back on a couch with pillows used to prop himself up as his hands rest behind his head and ice packs cover his outstretched legs. Naturally, he is wearing a blue Knicks t-shirt.

"Ppl underestimate the wear and tear on the body of a fan throughout the playoffs," he wrote on the third slide. "Self care is important. 💆‍♂️🤣."

Chalamet is currently in San Antonio, where the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs, 105-95, in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday, June 3.

While Chalamet was courtside for Game 1, his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, was noticeably absent at Frost Bank Center. Though Jenner, 28, has been by his side at Knicks games throughout their three-year relationship, she is currently in Turks and Caicos on her Kylie Cosmetics trip, where, if Instagram is to be believed, she is having the time of her life.

In one photo shared the day of Game 1, Jenner is relaxing on the beach in a bikini, appearing to listen to music. Her friends in the comments, however, didn't let her forget her NBA fan loyalties.

"Go Knicks 😍," Hailey Bieber wrote.

Natalie Buck added, "Let's go Knicks!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Even temporarily apart, it appears Chalamet and Jenner's romance is going strong. In March, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the two are "very serious and committed to each other."

"Their relationship is very strong and they have a good rhythm going," the insider added.

According to a post to her Story on Friday morning, Jenner is still in Turks and Caicos, meaning she's likely out for Game 2 as well. The series will shift to New York on Monday, June 8 for Game 3.

Even if Jenner is unable to attend the first Finals game at Madison Square Garden since 1999, the game is sure to attract plenty of celebrity fans, including President Donald Trump. Trump, 79, is a proud Knicks fan and has already announced his plans to attend.

We'll know the degree of Trump's true fandom if he posts a photo from the Oval Office the next day with ice packs on his knees.
