This former Lexington, SC farm may be transformed into 275 new homes

A local developer wants to turn the site of the former Hendrix Farms on U.S. 1 near Lexington High School into a new subdivision, according to documents submitted to Lexington County.

Mungo Homes is looking to build 275 homes on the 80.44-acre parcel. The first phase of the development would include 30 lots as well as a development center and a new public road.

Mungo Homes must secure several approvals from the county before the project can move forward. A spokesperson from Mungo Homes declined to comment.
