New apartments, townhomes planned near Garners Ferry Road in Columbia. What to know
A developer wants to build 288 apartments in the Burnside Farms subdivision off Garners Ferry Road, according to documents submitted to the Columbia Planning Commission.
The project, headed by South Coast Property Investments LLC, would include studios, one bedrooms and two bedrooms. There will also be 20 two- and-three bedroom townhomes with attached garages.
In total, 15 two- and three-story buildings will be spread across the 18.82-acre property.
Jeff Barbic from South Coast Property Investments said the property will include “resort style amenities,” such as a pool, a dog park and a clubhouse.
“The level of finish, the level of construction, the architectural detail will have a positive impact on the community,” he said.
Barbic said an estimated price for the units yet has not been set yet.
The Columbia Planning Commission is set to vote on the site plan at its meeting on Monday, Nov. 1.
