Hampton Ready For Official Visit
One time Florida commitment DB Victor Hampton (5-10 175) of Darlington will see the Gators play this weekend, but it will be on USC's dime. Hampton will make his official visit to USC this weekend and will be joined by his mother and guardian on the visit.
He's been to USC before for games, and this visit will give him a chance to get an inside look at things. "I haven't seen the campus," Hampton said. "And I want to look at some of the (academic) schools they have. And the (football) facilities, I haven't seen them yet."
This will be Hampton's first official visit. He hasn't scheduled others but he plans to, possibly with Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.
Hampton talked with Gamecock recruiter Ellis Johnson Tuesday and got the message Johnson wants him on the team next season. "He just said he's ready for me to get up there. I don't have any favorites. I'm just looking out there right now."
Hampton said he will wait until the US Army All American game in January to announce a decision.
