Midlands man pulled a knife, threatened to stab his wife over $10, deputies say
A South Carolina man, who was already under an order of protection from his wife, now faces domestic violence charges after he pulled a knife and threatened to stab her, deputies say.
The incident happened last month at a home in Sumter County, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say Samuel went to his wife’s home, despite the order of protection she had filed against him. Samuel engaged in an argument with his wife, during which he pulled out a knife and threatened to stab her when she refused to give him $10, deputies said.
The victim was not hurt but told deputies she feared for her life.
Samuel was arrested on charges of second-degree criminal domestic violence and violation of a court order protection, according to the sheriff’s office.
Second-degree domestic violence is a felony that carries up to 10 years in prison, under South Carolina law.
