Lancaster County Republican Party building hit by bullet; deputies investigating
Deputies in Lancaster County are investigating after the county Republican headquarters was hit by a bullet, officials said.
A window in the office was shot through sometime late Sunday, Republican Party officials said.
No arrests have been made and no one was hurt, Barfield said,
The office is on the S.C. 9 Bypass just outside the Lancaster city limits.
Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Doug Barfield said detectives are investigating.
In a statement, South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Drew McKissick called shooting into the building an attack.
Republicans in Spartanburg County also reported to police damage to signs supporting Donald Trump and Lindsey Graham, McKissick said.
