Fundraiser offers preview to Town Theatre production

Town Theatre will hold a preview party this Saturday for its upcoming production of “Mary Poppins” to support research for Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

The event will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the theater, 1012 Sumter St. in Columbia, and will feature a sneak preview of the show, which opens July 17.

Ehlers-Danlos syndrome is an extremely rare genetic disease; one of the show’s cast members is affected by it.

The preview party will include special activities for those 15 years old and younger. Tickets are $10 for that group;, and others are asked to make a $5 contribution.
