Boil water advisory lifted for customers in Lexington, Richland counties

A boil water advisory has been repealed for water customers of Old Lexington Highway in Lexington County and for water customers near Shadowood Drive and Water Garden Court in Richland County.

The City of Columbia Water Works say water customers no longer need to boil their water after an intense flushing of the distribution system. Bacteriological samples were collected by the City of Columbia Water Works and revealed that the water is safe for cooking and drinking purposes.
