Simpsonville man killed in scooter crash
A Simpsonville man was killed Friday night after his scooter crashed into a mailbox, state troopers said.
Daniel Earl Terrell, 63, was going around a curve on Sullivan Road near Simpsonville when his 2014 Jonway scooter ran off the road and struck a mailbox, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Terrell, who wasn’t wearing a helmet, was thrown form the scooter and then hit by a car, troopers said.
He died at the scene at about 10 p.m., the Greenville County Coroner’s Office said.
