Rachel Platten cancels SC State Fair concert

Rachel Platten canceled her Oct. 12 concert at the South Carolina State Fair, officials said Friday.

“We were sad to hear Rachel would not be able to make it to the fair this October,” South Carolina State Fair General Manager Gary Goodman said in a press release. “However, we’re already working to book a replacement for all our music fans.”

The release did not say why Platten had canceled. The artist’s management also canceled her performance at the Mississippi State Fair scheduled on Oct. 10.

The South Carolina State Fair will announce the opening day replacement artist in the coming weeks.
