Morning wrecks close lanes, clog I-26 and I-20

The SC Department of Transportation reported two wrecks are backing up traffic Tuesday morning on Interstate 26 and Interstate 20.

The wreck on I-26 is in the westbound lanes and occurred about a mile west of Exit 106 to Saint Andrews Road. Officials have closed the right lane.

The wreck on I-20 happened in the eastbound lanes at Exit 72 to S.C. 555. The right lane is closed.

SCDOT reported both wrecks, which were initially reported around 8:20 a.m., have been cleared from the roadways though traffic cameras show traffic backed up near the wreck sites.
