Festival of Choirs
Sacred music mixed with lively spirituals include groups such as Lexington High School Chamber Choir, Brookland Baptist Church Male Chorus, Greater Columbia Children’s Choir, Greater Columbia Chamber Choir and Chamber Choir of Kershaw County. You know about the afternoon block party, but what else is scheduled for Saturday at Five Points? Try the Get to the Green run. Start times: 10K at 7:30 a.m., 5K at 8 a.m. and Family Fun 1-Miler at 8:15 a.m. The annual parade begins at 10 a.m. near Dreher High School and travels down Devine Street into Five Points. And from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., enjoy the family friendly Pot O’ Gold playground at MLK Park near Five Points. There is a petting zoo, rides, and entertainment for everyone.
