Love oysters? The world’s largest oyster festival will be held in SC this weekend

Just shuck it.

Or eat it. Whatever you want.

The Lowcountry Oyster Festival, which claims to be the world’s largest oyster festival, will be held on Sunday from 10 a.m., to 5 p.m., at Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens, at 1235 Long Point Road, in Mount Pleasant.

The event, previously named one of the “Top 20 events in the Southeast,” will feature an oyster shucking and an oyster eating contest, along with live music, wine and beer. You can buy general admission tickets in advance for $17.50. Day-of-tickets are $25 at the gate.
