Two-member female crews of teens ages 13-18 began practicing Friday on Lake Murray for a regatta. The event – hosted by the Columbia Sailing Club – is designed to improve the skills of young sailors in a national-level competition. It’s attracted 80 participants from across the nation, club officials say. Races start Sunday and end Tuesday. Details: www.columbiasailingclub.org.
