Alton Brown, host of Food Network’s “Cutthroat Kitchen,” “Camp Cutthroat” and “Iron Chef America,” will bring his live show, “Eat Your Science,” to the Koger Center in Columbia April 8.

Part comedy, part cooking, part science experiment, Brown mixes together the elements of food and science into two hours of fun. Audience members picked at random will have a chance to interact in the show, serving as Brown’s assistants.

According to Brown, “there will be plenty of new therapy-inducing opportunities during our audience participation segments. I don’t want to give too much away, but we’re also going to play a little game with the audience.”

Warning: According to the Tour FAQs: “Ponchos will be provided to people in select seats in the first few rows. Things can get messy when Alton Brown is on stage.”

Tickets go on sale Oct. 9 at Koger Center. More information at www.altonbrowntour.com

Brown, who also is a James Beard award winning author, also will appear at Charleston’s Gaillard Center April 6.
