Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Marshall Herndon Jr. of Columbia are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lauren, to Blake Palmer Huffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. William James Huffman Jr. of Savannah, Georgia.
The bride-elect, a resident of Thomasville, Georgia, is the granddaughter of Ms. Gloria Herndon of Hartsville and Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm James Holden of Kershaw. She is a 2009 graduate of A.C Flora High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in athletic training from University of South Carolina and Master of Science in physical education from University of North Georgia. She is employed as a health and wellness coach at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Georgia.
The bridegroom-elect, also a resident of Thomasville, Georgia, is the grandson of Ms. Mabel Huffman of Tallahassee, Florida. He is a 2001 graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in sports business from University of Georgia and a Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law. He is employed with Weathers Law Firm in Moultrie, Georgia.
The couple plans to marry in an April 2017 wedding in Columbia.
