Arby’s joined a host of other fast food restaurants offering customers alcoholic beverages Thursday, as it released a pair of fry-flavored vodkas.

That’s right, fry-flavored vodka.

Arby’s released the drinks through Surdyk’s online at noon, offering customers their choice of curly or crinkle cut fry vodkas at $59.99. The limited bottles sold out within minutes.

The release was limited to just 12 states, excluding South Carolina, which has some of the most restrictive liquor laws in the country. The vodkas were available for purchase and delivery in Florida, Oregon, Nebraska, California, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Nevada, West Virginia and Wyoming.

It’s unclear why the Palmetto State was shunned from the anticipated release, though it may have something to do with the state’s prohibition of alcohol delivery.

In February, House lawmakers passed a bill that allowed curbside pick up and delivery of beer and wine, but it was not enacted into law. A similar bill in the Senate stalled in committee. The delivery of hard liquor, however, was not included in either bill.

State law allows patrons until 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday to buy liquor and prohibits stores from selling on Sunday.

Arby’s, which also release special recipes for bloody marys, has not yet said whether it will restock more vodka for its customers in time for Christmas, but appears to be offering some accommodations for a few select celebrities.
