Now we’re smoking. Vote in Round 3 of The State’s barbecue bracket today
Now it’s getting serious.
The State’s 2022 Barbecue Bracket sprinted through the first two rounds last week. We are asking our readers to vote for their favorite barbecue restaurant in the area. We want y’all to base your votes on the overall quality of the restaurant — from main courses to sides to even the sauces, fixin’s and desserts.
The bracket kicked off Feb. 1 with 16 entrants, identified by staff members at The State as some of their favorites in the area. It’s not a scientific poll, of course, but readers were then asked to make their top choices among that initial group of 16.
Readers first whittled the field down to eight BBQ joints, and now they’ve trimmed it down to four. The field will be be cut down to two places before the ultimate champion is crowned.
You have until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 10, to cast your votes in Round Three: The Flavorful 4. Stay tuned for Round Four: The Savory 2, which will launch on Friday, Feb. 11.
