A growing ice cream company known for unique flavors is planning a Columbia location.

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, which has shops in a number of cities across the U.S., announced Wednesday on social media that it will be opening locations in several new places soon. One of the cities on the list was Columbia.

“Really excited to open our doors in these cities for the FIRST TIME!,” Jeni’s said in the social media post, noting that the company is headed for Columbia, Chattanooga, San Antonio, and Peachtree City, Georgia.

The company’s social media announcement did not list an exact location where a Columbia Jeni’s would be, or when it might opening. The company said there would be more details soon.

Jeni’s currently has nearly three dozen ice cream shops across the U.S., per a shop locator tool on its website. Current South Carolina locations include spots in Charleston, Greenville and Mount Pleasant. The company’s products also are available in various grocery stores and can be shipped nationwide.

Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is known for unique flavors, such as Earl Grey Creme Brulee (which is inspired by the hit show “Bridgerton”), Bay Leaf Cheesecake, and Watermelon Taffy, among many others.
