A new restaurant has opened in growing, bustling Chapin. Check out where
A new restaurant with a host of Asian flavors has debuted in a busy town near Columbia and Lake Murray.
Chiang Mai-Asia Cuisine + Sushi opened its doors on May 4 at 1419 Chapin Road in Chapin, as noted in posts on social media. That’s in the shopping center that is anchored by a Lowes Foods grocery store in the heart of Chapin.
“Come celebrate with us and enjoy delicious food made with passion and authentic flavors,” Chiang Mai-Asia Cuisine said in a recent Facebook post announcing the May 4 opening. “We’re so excited to welcome our community and serve you something special.”
Menus for the new Chapin restaurant posted to Instagram show a host of Asian offerings. For example, there is a Thai basil beef stir-fry that comes with beef, onions, pepper and Thai basil and is served with white rice and egg. The menu also includes pad Thai, miso soup, fried rice dishes and more.
Chiang Mai-Asia also has a deep roster of sushi rolls, per the online menu. That includes a Lexus roll that comes with spicy cucumber and tuna and is topped with avocado and spicy mayo.
The new restaurant is located in a high-traffic area in busy Chapin. More than 15,000 cars per day travel down that section of Chapin Road, per S.C. Department of Transportation statistics.
