A new restaurant is being prepped in a busy stretch of Lexington.

Kera Indian Kitchen is coming to 5225 Sunset Blvd., Suite D, as noted in the town of Lexington’s most recent planning and zoning actions report. The project is tabbed as “under construction” in the report.

The restaurant would be in a small shopping center that also includes a Poke Bros. restaurant and a Dunkin’ coffee and doughnut place, among other businesses. The shopping strip is next door to a 7-Eleven and across the street from a Lowes Foods grocery store.

Signage for Kera Indian Kitchen has gone up on the building at 5225 Sunset Blvd., and there is a poster in the window saying that it is “coming soon.” A town of Lexington building permit for the Kera project also is hanging in the window at the business. A slogan for the business on its signage notes it will be “freshly made, carefully crafted.”

Finer details about Kera Indian Kitchen, including an opening date, have not been publicly released.

Kera Indian Kitchen would join a high-traffic, busy commercial corridor along Sunset Boulevard in Lexington, one lined with stores, supermarkets, restaurants and many other businesses. More than 45,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of Sunset Boulevard, per state Department of Transportation statistics, making it one of the busiest non-interstate roads in the Midlands.
