A prime location in Five Points’ newest tenant is nearly ready to welcome its first customers.

5 Points Social, a new sports bar, announced in June it would be moving into 632 Harden Street, the former site of the Cotton Gin and New Brookland Tavern.

In a July 10 social media post, the bar said it would officially open its doors to the public on August 15 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

According to the post, the occasion will be marked by a grand opening event featuring live music and giveaways, as well as the unveiling of “Sandstorm Live.”

The bar’s website displays USC themed decor, and as reported by The State in June, is owned by a company called Cocky Hospitality and Jeff O’Hara, a USC alum who goes by “Cocks by 90” on social media and has a stake in CB18 and Breakers Live, two Five Points bars that are adjacent to each other.
