Co-owner and chef of Columbia’s Good Life Cafe, Sharon Wright is one of the ten national finalists in PETA Prime’s annual Sexiest Vegan Over 50 contest.

Wright, 54, credits her vegan lifestyle with giving her the endurance and stamina needed not only for her day-to-day job but also as an avid hiker and jogger who is currently training for a marathon.

“Vegans tend to be slim, healthy, and energetic, so it’s no surprise that older vegans avoid the high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes that plague so many baby boomers,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “Each one of PETA’s finalists is sparkling with vitality and compassion for others, and there’s nothing sexier than that.”

Visitors to PETA Prime’s website, PETAPrime.org can see photos of the finalists and cast their votes through Friday, Nov. 13. Winners will be announced Nov. 23. PETA Prime is a resource for baby boomers who want to live a healthy, humane, and rewarding life.
