IRMO CHAPIN RECREATION COMMISSION: Parents Night Out 6-9:30 p.m. Friday, Seven Oaks Park, 5605 Bush River Road. Children ages 4-14 can participate in activities, dinner and games. $15 per child. (803) 772-3336

SESQUICENTENNIAL STATE PARK: Howl-O-Ween 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, 9564 Two Notch Road. The event will include dog costume contests, prizes, booths and vendors. RIVERBANKS ZOO AND GARDEN: Boo at the Zoo 6-9 p.m. through Halloween. Children 12 and younger encouraged to put on costumes and participate in the foam zone, a DJ dance party, a trick-or-treat trail and more.
