CONGAREE NATIONAL PARK: Guided canoe tours Friday and Saturday, Harry Hampton Visitor Center, Hopkins. A park ranger will guide paddlers through the last remaining large section of old-growth bottomland forest in the country. Participants must be able to swim without a flotation device. POINSETT STATE PARK: The Congaree Land Trust is hosting a fall celebration 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. today 6660 Poinsett Park Road, Wedgefield. Event will include bluegrass, barbecue, nature walks, paddling, edible plant walk, children’s activities and a historical presentation.
