Columbia outdoors calendar, March 13 and beyond

CONGAREE NATIONAL PARK: Nature discovery walk 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center. Learn about plant and animal life in the Congaree River floodplain. Walk is fully accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. Free. (803) 776-4396. nps.gov/cong

CONGAREE NATIONAL PARK: Owl Prowl 6-8:30 p.m. Saturday starting at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center. Participants can learn about owls and other nocturnal life in the Congaree during a guided night hike. Reservation required at nps.gov/cong or (803) 776-4396. Free.

RIVERBANKS ZOO AND GARDEN: Homeschool Monday: Captivating Cats 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday. Children ages 5-13 can learn why big cats are on top of the food chain. Cost is $5 per child with one adult, plus general admission. Register at riverbanks.org. (803) 779-8717

SEVEN OAKS PARK: Breakfast with the Bunny 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, 200 Leisure Lane. Event will include breakfast, crafts, activities and an egg hunt. Souvenir photos with a bunny will be included.
