Holiday hours for major stores, malls in Columbia

Need some extra time to shop for that perfect holiday gift? Some stores and malls are extending their hours through the end of the year — for shopping or returning items. And don’t forget — most grocery stores are closed on Christmas, so be sure to plan ahead!

The malls

Columbiana Centre, 100 Columbiana Circle: 9 a.m.-10 p.m. through Dec. 21; special hours include 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16; 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Dec. 17; 9 a.m.-11 p.m. Dec. 22 and 23; 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day; open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Dec. 26

Columbia Place, 7201 Two Notch Rd.: regular mall hours, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; closed Christmas Day

Dutch Square Center, 421 Bush River Rd.: 9 a.m.-10 p.m. beginning Dec. 15; 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17; 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day

Belk: Extended store hours begin Wednesday. The store will be open 8 a.m.-11 p.m. on Dec. 13, 14 and 17. Late night hours, 8 a.m.-midnight, begin Friday, Dec. 15 through Dec. 23. Special days: Saturday, Dec. 16, 6 a.m.-midnight; and 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Christmas Eve; closed Christmas Day; open 6 a.m.-10 p.m. Dec. 26; returns to normal hours Dec. 27; open New Years Day until 8 p.m.

Bi-Lo: opening times may vary in Columbia, Cayce, West Columbia and Lexington, but expect all Bi-Lo stores to close at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day.

Food Lion: closes at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day.

Fresh Market: extended hours 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Dec. 21-23; 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day.

Harvey’s: closes at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day.

Kroger: closes at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day.

Lowes Foods: 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day.

Piggly Wiggly: store located at 6325 N Main closes at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve, the Social Pig on Devine closes at 6 p.m. Both stores closed Christmas Day.

Publix: closes at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Closed Christmas Day.

Trader Joe’s: closes at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Closed Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
