Tickets to Gervais Street Bridge Dinner on presale Feb. 1

Advance sales of tickets to the fourth annual Gervais Street Bridge Dinner will begin at 6 a.m. Thursday and continue through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, while tickets last.

The 1,000-seat dinner, held in the middle of the Gervais Street Bridge, has sold out each year. For this early Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day promotion, 100 general admission tickets ($99/person) and 100 VIP tickets ($199/person) will be available. The dinner is scheduled for 3-8 p.m. Oct. 21, with a rain date of Oct. 28.

According to Soda City Friends, in its first three years, the Bridge Dinner raised over $125,000 for local charities, with particular focus on organizations working to improve the health and wealth of protected rivers. This year, 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit The River Alliance, Canoeing for Kids, Harvest Hope Food Bank, West Columbia Beautification Foundation and Heroes in Blue.

The dinner was conceived as a celebration of the cities bounded by the Congaree River, and features a three-course meal and craft cocktails prepared by local chefs, as well as live music by local bands.
