Nothing says ‘I love you’ like $500 pizza, Lexington restaurant hopes

They say the way to a man’s (or woman’s) heart is through the stomach.

Firenza Pizza of Lexington is taking that bet to a new level with The Golden Surf and Turf pizza, a specialty 10-inch pie featuring lobster bisque, lobster meat, filet medallions, topped with caviar and dusted with edible gold leaf.

The pie will be available Feb. 9-18 only. The cost: $500. Oh, and call and reserve this pizza 48 hours in advance (in Lexington, (803) 785-5000).

If that sounds too extravagant, Firenza also will offer two, 10-inch one topping heart shapes pizzas for $14.
