Catherine Hayley Thrift and Evan Scott Bledsoe, both of Columbia, were united in marriage Aug. 6 at Trinity Baptist Church in Seneca. The Revs. Ryan Wilson and Kevin Roberts officiated the 6 o’clock ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Cathy and Gary Thrift of Seneca. She is the granddaughter of Lillian Moore Thrift of Westminster, the late Glenn Vernon Thrift and Shirley Gaillard Thrift of Westminster, and the late Thomas Whitfiled Dunaway Jr. and Mary Ann Moorehead Dunaway of Anderson. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from Auburn University.

The groom is the son of Lisa and Scott Bledsoe of Greenwood. He is the grandson of John Carroll Bledsoe and the late Gail Elliott Bledsoe and Diane Simmons Langley and the late Robert Clifton Langley Jr., all of Greenwood. He earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from the University of South Carolina.

Maid of honor was Christian Candler Goudelock. Bridesmaids were Meredith Langley Bledsoe, Joanna Kathleen Braeckel, Katherine Rainey LoCascio, Lauren Ashley Schuster, Blaire Wheelis Thrift and Evelen Hope Walker. Langley Kate Stroble and Jensen Claire Thrift were flower girls.

Best man was Scott Anthony Bledsoe. Groomsmen were Edward Loudon Brooks IV, Emory Patrick Smith, Clint Allen Steifle, Joseph Larkin Taylor, Ford Hamby Thrift, Rushton Glenn Thrift and Ryan Thomas Wilkie. Joseph Andrew Crane was ring bearer.

A reception followed at the bride’s home, and the couple honeymooned in St. Lucia.
