Odell and Naomi Middleton celebrate 50th anniversary

Odell and Naomi Middleton of Hopkins celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 24.

The high school sweethearts were married Sept. 24, 1966.

Their children are Nadell Sutton, Carnell Middleton and Theresa Middleton. They have three grandchildren: Kayla Middleton, Shanetria Sutton and Consuela Middleton.

They renewed their vows at St. John Baptist Church in Hopkins with Pastor Sammy Wade officiating. A reception followed in the Holistic Wellness Center.

The couple write that they “love God, each other and family. Their years together have made them stronger. They believe in loving others as God loves us.”
